We are committed to working in an environmentally responsible way, using intelligence over pesticides whenever possible. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for motivated graduates to join our dedicated team.
We’re a close-knit team, small enough to care but large enough to offer the professional support and back-up you need. No two days are the same here. You'll be inspecting diverse industrial environments, advising clients, and keeping businesses pest-free—this is not a lab-based role.
What can you expect in return?
Develop your skills with extensive training, gaining recognised qualifications and experience to become a fully Certified Field Biologist
Starting on a trainee salary, with progressive salary increases based on qualifications.
Achieve full certification within 2 to 3 years (exceptional candidates may complete this in 18 months)
Opportunities to work closely with a wide range of clients, helping them maintain pest-free environments while promoting environmental responsibility
Progress through the ranks and be rewarded with salary increments at each certification level. The salary for a fully certified Field Biologist currently stands at £31,000
Have the opportunity to expand our services and earn additional commission for your efforts
We offer statutory holidays plus 20 annual leave days, increasing to 25 with tenure
Are you the right person for the job?
Degree in Biological Sciences, Biology, Zoology, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, or a related field
Strong observational skills and a desire to stay active throughout the workday
UK manual driving licence is essential
Comfortable with heights and confined spaces
Ability to think quickly and communicate effectively with everyone, from cleaners to Managing Directors
Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Carlisle/Dumfries area
What will your role look like?
Conduct technical inspections for rodent and insect issues across industrial environments
Complete detailed assessments and reports using our custom software
Maintain high observational skills and an active presence in the field
Undergo continuous training to achieve industry-recognized qualifications
Build client relationships, offering expert advice on environmental improvements
