About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Service Engineer to join our client, a well-established manufacturing company serving the rail industry. This role involves servicing, repairing, modifying, and commissioning machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications on machines and equipment.
Commission new, modified, or repaired machinery and systems.
Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, professionally, and within set timelines.
Provide on-site and remote technical support, including out-of-hours assistance as part of the on-call rota.
Travel across the UK and internationally as required for service assignments.
Key Requirements
Experience: Minimum three years of hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic machinery.
Technical Expertise: Proven background in fault diagnosis, repairs, and commissioning of complex systems.
Driving Licence: Full, clean manual UK driving licence (company van provided).
Education: Degree in Engineering or completion of a full, indentured engineering apprenticeship.

Competitive Salary: £40,000 – £43,000 per annum

Holidays: 4 weeks' paid leave in the first year, increasing thereafter
Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Overtime Opportunities (not guaranteed)
Permanent, Full-Time Role (37 hours per week)
Three-Month Probationary Period
