The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in East Sussex. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost management process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile commercial projects and further develop your expertise in the M&E sector.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates and budgets for M&E projects.

Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and valuations.

Conduct risk assessments and value engineering exercises.

Provide accurate financial reporting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

*

Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial obligations.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

*

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within commercial projects.

*

Excellent understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

*

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

*

Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

*

Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CICES) is advantageous but not essential.
