Drives & Automation Service Engineer - The Role:

Reactive & proactive service support automation & instrumentation systems for a range of customers
Calibration services
Complete installation and retrofits of drives
Provide on-site maintenance services to clients on a short term and long term basis
Automation Service Engineer - The Person:

Be able to carry out fault finding and ideally modifications to Siemens PLC software
Additional experience of Rockwell helpful
Ability to read electrical schematics
Ability to fault find and replace drives
Flexible to travel to customer sites on short notice for breakdowns and call outs
Posses formal electrical qualification
MUST be methodical and detail orientated

We are specifically seeking an Engineer to take initial responsibility for a large contract working on the upgrade of a large number of control panels across the site. You must be capable of reviewing panels, bringing them up to the required level and updating all documentation including schematics. 

The majority of the customers are based in the North East. There are additional opportunities for further training within PLC software and control panel hardware design. They are also offering a flexible working pattern.

Ideally, you will be based commutable to the main office location for training and panel test. Locations could include within or around Sunderland, Gateshead, Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool, Seaham and Peterlee.
