We are currently seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join a successful, well established design practice in the Edinburgh office.

The chosen candidate will be required to demonstrate a reasonable understanding of construction drawing practice and the use of CAD systems such as AutoCAD.
Additional in-house training will be provided specific to drawing and engineering associated with work in the railway sector.

To be considered for this Senior CAD Technician role you will have;

Knowledge and experience in delivering civil and structural engineering models and drawings, + 5 years of experience
Practical experience of AutoCAD
The delivery of structural steelwork/civil engineering drawings
Experience with reinforced concrete drawings and schedules.
Attention to detail.
Can work as part of a dedicated team.
Can self-check work
Be self-motivated, and diligent and have good time management skills.
Good numeracy and computer skills
Flexible approach to working hours.

Advantageous But Not Essential

Experience using Civils3D or Bentley MicroStation
Practical knowledge of common data environments such as Bentley ProjectWise would be beneficial.
A practical understanding of the standards which define the UK BIM Framework and ISO 19650 would be beneficial.
Experience using CADS RC, CADS-RC3D would be beneficial.
Experience in producing reinforced concrete drawings and schedules.
Experience in highway design would be beneficial.
A technical member of a relevant institution or actively working towards professional registration status.
Qualifications

HNC/D qualification or similar

For this Senior CAD Technician role our client is offering;
