The Role:
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading a team of a compliance technologist and QA plus the hygiene function, ensuring all food safety, customer, and quality standards are maintained within the high care areas of the site.
* Motivating and developing your team, by being visible in the factory, leading by example and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring.
* As the 'go to' person for technical matters, working closely with other managers and teams across the site to ensure technical integrity and best practice.
* Developing and instilling a culture of continuous improvement, proactively looking for more effective ways of working.
* Coaching and developing your team, supporting them to ensure they're all equipped to work to the best of their ability.
* Travel to suppliers and customers
* Submitting Specifications
The Person:
* Prior experience of working in a Technical or Quality leadership role in a chilled / high care food manufacturing environment
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of retailer codes of practice
* Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and working to drive standards
* Strong leadership skills, able to coach and develop teams
* Highly organised, able to manage and prioritise a busy workload to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop good working relationships with colleagues at all levels
