Engineering Administrator - Epsom, Surrey
£26,000 pa - £32,000 pa pro rata - 3 month contract - Immediate Start
A leading Engineering business growing year-on-year has created a new role for an Engineering Administrator to immediately join the team and play a key role in supporting customers with their ongoing needs. This is a great opportunity for a talented and resourceful administrator who thrives on working autonomously, and enjoys dealing with customers on the phone.
When customers purchase Machinery from this business, they are supported by a team including Service Engineers, Parts Coordinators and Technical Support. The Engineering Administrator will work closely with these individuals to ensure customers machinery needs are taken care of. The Administrator will also maintain databases and systems, ensuring accurate data input.
The individual appointed will work at the heart of the Engineering department, and act as the first point of contact for customers (telephone and email). The Engineering Administrator will deal with customers machinery enquiries, spare parts enquiries, and cascade information to the appropriate contact, which could be a Service Engineer or Parts coordinator.
The Engineering Administrator will also update spare part lists, review inventory levels on spare parts, support the team in the administration of service contracts, provide customers with quotations, coordinate delivery of spare parts, raise invoices, deal with invoice and billing questions, and input information into a SAP system. They will provide general administrative support to the Engineering team, including document control, scheduling Engineer visits to customers and system updates.
The Person
Experience of using MS Applications is expected and exposure to SAP will assist, although training will be provided. Although not essential, previous experience of working for an Engineering / Manufacturing firm may assist. Initiative and strong organizational skills are expected of all applicants.

The pro rata salary for this role is circa £26,000 pa - £32,000 pa depending on experience. Ref 3542
