Cherry Professional are looking for a Junior Design Engineer. You will ensure that product designs are feasible for efficient manufacturing, helping to reduce costs and enhance overall production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop equipment and tooling for new products and manufacturing processes.
Support the development and improvement of existing tooling and manufacturing equipment.
Produce drawings and technical data in support of product development
Concept generation of assemblies, and tooling.
Detailing engineering drawings.
Creating engineering bills of materials.
Engineering data entry to ERP system.
Create documents for Technical Reports.
Instruct and advise for training on your department where appropriate and when nominated as an in-house trainer and/or mentor.
Attend/present at section and company meetings as required.
Develop and build relationships with customers, suppliers or contractors.
Suggest and assist with improvement recommendations for the department or Company.
Report any hazards or near misses using iAuditor.
Ideal Candidate:

Solidworks 3D experience required.
AutoCAD 2D experience required.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to follow instructions and processes.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Drafting to the standard BS8888.
Ability to produce clearly defined and accurate assemblies.
