Key accountabilities
* Work on each operational task as required or an appropriate scheduled activity e.g. loading & Unloading Materials, basic maintenance/housekeeping, TPM, 5S, or any other duties as directed. This may involve moving to another areas, machine centre, or location. All activities must be carried out in accordance with EHS, Quality & safe working practices.
Role overview:
* To use a Fork lift truck / side loader and or overhead crane.
* To safely unload delivery vehicles, check quality & quantity of incoming goods, ensure stock is correctly identified & put away in appropriate stock location.
* To pick stock correctly to meet processing requirements.
* Move the relevant materials to the correct work areas to maintain a product flow through to completion.
* Load delivery vehicles in a safe manner according to latest safe working practices.
* Offloading of Plates with Magnet OHC upto 20m
* Moving of long product (either on a trailer or sideloader) around the site to the various process areas.
* Actively takes responsibility for keeping workplace clean & tidy.
Relevant experience / skills
Essential
* Used to working in a flexible, results oriented, team environment.
* Has worked in manufacturing, warehousing or distribution business.
* Able to read written instructions & record accurately work carried out.
* IT skills i.e. word, excel, outlook and a willingness to learn.
* Competent use of basic measuring equipment and quality assurance requirements.
* Knowledge ofContinuous Improvement techniques i.e. TPM, 5S, Lean Manufacturing.
* Understanding and experience of EHS requirements, in a warehouse or distribution environment.
* Full Driving Licence
* Mobile equipment driving skills (including FLT’s, Sideloaders & overhead cranes).
* Experience of metal processing machines and basic maintenance techniques
