TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEMH secondary school based in Redditch. This school achieves an excellent level of care for children and young people. Being awarded an ‘good’ OFSTED rating, this school continues to provide exceptional education for learners of all ages. Supporting young people with SEMH needs ranging from Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) to Challenging behaviour. The schools caters to children and students with needs such as disruptive behaviour and outbursts of verbal and physical frustration.

The school is looking for a driven TA/Teaching Assistant, who can cover lessons across the classes in school. This will be a long-term basis. The successful applicant will be working across both Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 to deliver the national curriculum whilst supporting the children’s challenging behaviour.

The successful  TA/Teaching Assistant  will have:

Level 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
Good communication skills
Effective behaviour management skills
A calm, patient and caring persona
