Experienced Bookkeeper - Part Time (30 hours per week) 

£25-26K pro rata

St Ives 

A local accountancy firm in St Ives is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join them on a permanent, part-time basis of 30 hours per week (these hours are flexible to yours and businesses' needs).  The company is a sociable, inviting place which prides itself on excellent service, and in this role you will manage a portfolio of clients.   

Responsibilities of the role will include:  

Managing the bookkeeping needs of a portfolio of clients
Posting/processing of sales and purchase invoices
Bank reconciliations
VAT returns
Answering ad hoc client queries - dealing with clients via email, phone, face-to-face
Working closely with the accounts team to ensure accurate reporting

To be suitable for the role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:  

Bookkeeping experience where you have managed a portfolio of clients, preferably within an accountancy practice but this can be flexible if you can demonstrate the ability to manage multiple accounts 
Experience using Xero & Sage (this will be tested at interview)
Great communication skills, and the willingness to speak with clients on the phone, by email and in person when required
Experience of VAT returns and other bookkeeping tasks as detailed above
