Senior Mechanical Design Engineer required for a leading Manufacturer in the Compressor and Cooling industries.

It is ideally suited to a seasoned Design Engineer with a deep understanding of compressor technologies or refrigeration / thermodynamic design either product or systems related.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Create and develop screw compressors.

*

Project Management: Manage projects and test programs, and operate test stands.

*

Quality Control: Analyze applicability, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications.

*

Problem Solving: Diagnose issues and recommend recovery plans.

*

Design Changes: Recommend design changes or material substitutions as needed.

*

Assembly and Testing: Assemble, modify, and test products, including prototypes.

*

Research and Reporting: Conduct research and development, analyze test results, and report findings.

*

Re-engineering: Improve existing compressor designs for quality, reliability, and energy efficiency.

*

Thermodynamic Analysis: Perform thermodynamic analysis of refrigeration/AC systems focusing on compressor applications.

*

Testing and Analysis: Ensure appropriate testing quality, analyze results, and implement improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

*

Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as BEng, MEng, BSc, or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.

*

Extensive knowledge in industrial refrigeration, mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, HVAC, or process engineering.

*

Proven experience in the research, design, and development of innovative technologies.
