MSS Facilities Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Waste Operative to join the team based in Rockwool, Bridgend, UK. This is a part-time, permanent position. The hours for the role are Monday – Friday 2pm-6pm.

Based in Cardiff, Wales, we are a 500-strong company of skilled professionals operating in regulated and frequently hazardous environments, providing industrial and commercial cleaning, waste management, asbestos removal, water treatment and security services, in addition to asbestos consultancy and retrofit work. Working across the public and private sectors, we are known for being highly responsive and focusing on proactive client management, delivering the best outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities for the Waste Operative:

* Waste Handling: Collect, segregate, and manage waste materials generated within our facilities, including recyclables, non-recyclables, hazardous, and non-hazardous substances.

* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations, health, and safety standards governing waste management activities, including proper disposal methods and documentation.

* Equipment Operation: Future: Operate and maintain waste management equipment such as compactors, balers, and recycling machinery to facilitate efficient waste processing and disposal.

Qualifications and Experience for the Waste Operative:

* Forklift Licence

* Effective decision maker

* Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer/client-oriented approach.
