Job Specification: Service Architect

Contract Type: 6-month initial contract (with the possibility of extension)
Location: Reading (predominantly site-based)
Clearance: Active DV clearance is essential due to the nature of the work

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Service Architect to play a key role in delivering ITIL-aligned Service Design and implementation within a complex, large-scale transformation program. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in ITIL frameworks, stakeholder management, and leadership. You'll collaborate closely with the Programme Team onsite to ensure seamless service delivery, strategy, and continual improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience:

ITIL Service Accreditation, ideally ITIL Service Design certification.
Proven experience working across the full ITIL lifecycle, with a strong focus on Service Design and implementation.
Background in delivering large-scale service transformation programs.
Expertise in ServiceNow, including workflows, catalogues, and service automation.
Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Ability to influence and drive results without reliance on technical expertise.

Desirable Skills:

High-level understanding of software-defined networks (SDN) and their role in service delivery and improvement.
Experience working within secure environments, particularly in government or public sector programs.
