Lead Engineer – Bakery Operations
 
Are you an experienced Engineer with leadership skills looking to join a well-established bakery company? We are working with a respected bakery based in Northwich, known for delivering fresh, high-quality products across Northern England, North Wales, and the Midlands. They are seeking a Lead Engineer to coordinate their shift-based engineering team and ensure seamless 24/7 operations.
 
About the Role:
As the Lead Engineer, you will oversee a team of three maintenance engineers, prioritizing shift activities, supporting operations, and monitoring preventative maintenance completions. You’ll play a crucial role in improvement initiatives and act as the primary engineering contact for shift managers, ensuring smooth handovers and ongoing operational support.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers across shifts.
Prioritize shift activities and support the operations team in achieving goals.
Monitor and ensure completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
Participate in improvement projects and act as the senior engineering contact for shift managers.  
What We're Looking For:

Fully qualified Engineer with leadership experience in a similar role.
Ideally multiskilled, with 17th Edition Electrical Regulations training (desirable).
Experience in an FMCG or similar fast-paced environment.  
What's On Offer:

Salary: £52,193.81 per annum.
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) on a 48-hour week.
