Term Time Teachers are working alongside a primary school based in Sundridge who require a year 1 teacher. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily teaching and learning of all students in the class. The position will run from January 2025 to January 2026.
As a Year 1 teacher, you will support children in their learning and development. You will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to build both their confidence and academic abilities.
The school itself has high aspirations for every child and an expectation that they will excel and achieve their potential. They provide a creative curriculum, rich in opportunity and full of challenge. They have good links with the churches in both villages and endeavour to help all of the children develop their understanding of the Christian faith.
Your key responsibilities as year 1 teacher:
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure a dynamic and exciting learning environment.
Track individual and group progress to identify areas for improvement.
Patience and understanding towards children's diverse needs.
Be able to remain calm and composed if presented with challenging behaviour.
Encourage participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
Work in accordance with the legal requirements and policies of the school.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils.Requirements:
Have QTS.
Strong knowledge of the key stage 1 curriculum.
Have previous experience working as a primary teacher.
An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply.
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
