Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Up to £48,000 (DOE)

Shifts: 4 on 4 off – 2 days, 2 nights (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)

We’re supporting a leading food manufacturer in Glasgow in their search for a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This role is key to ensuring production lines stay efficient, safe, and compliant.

About the Role

As part of the engineering team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of production equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Your focus will include:

Planned maintenance – Delivering scheduled PPMs and logging activities via the CMMS

*

Reactive repairs – Diagnosing faults quickly to reduce downtime, with root cause analysis

*

Health, safety & quality – Maintaining high standards across all engineering tasks

*

Continuous improvement – Supporting ongoing efficiency and improvement projects

*

Stock management – Ensuring the right parts and tools are always available

*

Team support – Collaborating with operators and management to keep things running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

*

Fully qualified, apprentice-trained Multi-Skilled Engineer

*

Strong experience in FMCG manufacturing – food sector highly desirable

*

Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment

*

Good working knowledge of engineering systems and confident with IT

Desirable:

*

Experience with Lean/CI methodologies

*

18th Edition or relevant mechanical certifications
