Your role at Orbit.

Orbit are delighted to announce that, due to growth and development within our procurement team, that we are looking to recruit a Procurement Business Partners who specialises in Capital Programmes . In this role you will be managing the day to day need from the business to recommend supplier solutions, negotiate pricing and terms and conditions for contract/orders from suppliers.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Develop, build and manage delivery of a procurement service to achieve value for money and manage risk for suppliers

Define, establish and continuously improve procurement process and SOPs

Continuously monitor and analyse spend with suppliers to identify opportunities to increase spend under contract and achieve savings

Review contract lifecycle analysis for suppliers to plan mid- and long-term contract expiry and renewal pipeline

Create, execute and track plans to maximise spend under contract

Set savings, spend under contract and service level targets for the team and individual buyers

Evaluate and set priority of purchase requests

Manage day to day activities and plans for the team and operational execution of any procurement projects

Review the operational performance of the team on a regular basis

Track and resolve issues that have been escalated by the team

Solicit, review and act on stakeholder feedback to address service issues

What will help you make a difference.

To be successful in this role of Procurement Business Partner you will need to be educated to degree level or hold a CIPS qualification. You will also need to have a demonstrable track record of delivery and results in a procurement role. It would be desirable if you have strong experence and/or knowledge of working with the housing sector and/or Public Sector and good knowledge of UK Public Contracts Regulations.

It is also essential that you have:

Strong business acumen with good experience and knowledge of running a procurement function

Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels

Planning, organising, analytical and fact based decision making skills

Ability to educate and inform stakeholders on basic procurement process

Good computing skills and experience, including Microsoft Office

It would also be desirable if you have knowledge of English contract law, procurement legislation, regulations, standards, procedures and techniques relevant to a registered provider.
