Design Manager
My client is national refurbishment contractor in the roofing, cladding & glazing sector.
They Specialisie in live build environments, such as PBSA, stadia, and commercial real estate. They deliver an unrivalled construction experience through fire remediation, façade, and roofing expertise, supported by a nationwide Small Works team.
The Design team provide work with our Major Projects and Small Works team to identify bespoke solutions for our clients using glazing, curtain walling, cladding, render, steel frame systems, flashings, and bracketry
The Design Managers are involved with the projects from the very beginning, adding to the Pre-Construction service. This gives the Design team the opportunity to create bespoke solutions for thier clients and the opportunity to influence the evolution of a project.
Working with a network of expert design houses, They provide thier clients with an integrated design and detailing service ensuring single source responsibility for design and supply of the façade. Using the latest technology and design systems, we can respond quickly to the needs of our clients producing high-quality computer-generated drawing layouts and details.
The Design Manager Role
Design Managers play an integral role in driving the success of the company by orchestrating the entire design life cycle, from conception through to fruition. They are not merely managers but visionary leaders who guide project teams in translating abstract concepts into tangible, groundbreaking designs. Their role extends beyond traditional management duties to encompass strategic direction and creative leadership, ensuring that our projects consistently push the boundaries of innovation.

A bit about you
You will have a degree, HND or equivalent, ideally in a design or construction discipline, and a passion for design is a must. You will be someone who takes ownership for their work and be able to present your ideas to the team, external design houses and our clients. You will be confident working with teams around the business, including partnering with our Pre-Construction team to get your projects off the ground, quite literally, and the site teams who are bringing the drawings to life.
