About the Role: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join our school in Cambridge. The successful candidate will play an essential role in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) within a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups with SEN
Assist with classroom management, ensuring students can engage in lessons and activities
Support students with personal care needs, where required
Work closely with the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans
Help students develop social, communication, and emotional skills
Monitor students' progress and report observations to the class teacher
Build strong, supportive relationships with students to enhance their confidence and well-being
Assist in implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and learningEssential Criteria:
Experience in childcare, care support work, or a similar field
A compassionate and patient approach to working with children
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
An understanding of the needs of children with SEN
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenDesirable Criteria:
Experience working with children with a range of special educational needs
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent)
