Finance & Office Manager

Location: Chepstow

Position: Full time, Permanent 

Salary: Up to £40,000

Our Client

Autograph Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established, construction business, based near Chepstow. As our client continue to grow, they are now looking for a Finance & Office Manager to join them.

The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining the financial accuracy of the business by processing transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

This is a great opportunity for a local candidate to become a key part of in a family feel business.

Responsibilities of Finance & Office Manager:

Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable

Process payroll and CIS statements via Sage

Raising sales invoices and statements

Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies

Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements

Prepare tax returns and submit VAT

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Support senior management team with administration duties

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and reports

Preparing month end

The Ideal Candidate:

Ideally AAT qualified or equally qualified by experience within a similar role

Familiar with using Sage software

Knowledge of CIS

Planning and organisational abilities, able to prioritise workload accordingly and work to deadlines timely

Ability to implement and improve processes

Proficient across Microsoft platforms, Excel in particular

A key team player who can engage and develop strong relationships
