On behalf of our client who is situated in the heart of Worcestershire, providing Engineering assistances and solutions to many exciting sectors.

Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Brake Press Operator on a 12 week Temporary to Permanent basis.

Your main purpose is:

All set-ups and production runs, ensuring safety, accuracy and timelines of all jobs, machines and equipment in the folding area.

Responsibilities:

• The role will be to set and operate a Brake Press (Amada) to produce parts to technical drawings and instructions.

• Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.

• Maintain cleanliness of the machine.

• Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.

• Skilled in organizing work area before and after parts are processed.

Essential:

• Minimum 1 year experience setting and operating Amada Brake Press.
• Minimum 1 year experience of forming various sizes & thickness of blanks.
• Ability to measure each job using Vernier’s.
• Ability to load and unload material.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to learn new skills and technologies.

Desirable:

• Health and safety awareness.
• Quality aware.
• Read from Engineering drawings.
• Forklift license.

Package:

* Monday – Friday (subject to change depending on business requirements)Core Hours 07:45 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday and 07:45 – 13:00 on a Friday.

* 39 hours of work per week. You may be expected to work any additional hours depending on business requirements.
