Chief Mason / Refractory Supervisor

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Saint-Gobain Glass UK manufactures and distributes environmentally friendly flat glass for the commercial and residential markets in the UK & Ireland.

If you're an experienced refractory specialist with leadership skills, we're looking for a Chief Mason / Refractory Supervisor to join our team in Eggborough.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team responsible for furnace maintenance and refractory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of 4
Oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and ensure all jobs are completed efficiently
Manage daily operations, prioritising tasks and workloads
Ensure health & safety compliance at all times, in high-temperature environments
Work closely with the wider team to maintain optimal furnace performance to realise the designed asset lifeWhat We're Looking For:

Strong refractory experience - ideally in steel, glass, or similar industries
Furnace maintenance experience (container, flat glass, steel, etc.)
Fabrication skills and hands-on problem-solving ability
Proven team leadership experience
