The role:
Do you want to have direct impact on people’s lives, meeting the evolving needs of patients in the community? The role involves seeing patients within the comfort of their own home or in oncology mobile units or clinics. You will be providing clinical care to patients for bloods, toxicity assessments, IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, pump disconnections, line care, IM/SC injections and more. In addition, your working day includes the travel to and from your patients across the area that you are located.
Key responsibilities:
* Patient care: clinical care, taking vital signs, and monitoring patients for any changes in their condition
* Education: Informing patients about their health and wellbeing
* Maintain record: Creating and maintaining accurate patient records and care plans
* Compliance: Adhering to guidelines from the Nursing and Midwifery Council and Care Quality Commission
* Mentoring: Training and supervising junior colleagues
* Support: Providing information, reassurance and emotional support to patients and their relatives
* Collaboration: Working with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and create treatment plans
* Risk assessment: Carrying out detailed risk assessments
* Emergency response: Responding quickly to emergencies
For this role we need you to:
* Display a high level of care and empathy to help our patients achieve their goals and regain their independence.
* Be well-organised and comfortable managing your own workload and itinerary, basic IT skills are required.
Eligibility for Interview:
* Nursing qualification (Degree or Diploma) & Minimum 3 years’ experience as an adult nurse
* Oncology experience
* Driving licence
* Relevant English Language tests, either IELTS or OET
* NMC Registration and pin (or working towards) & NMC Test of Competence (CBT)
* Funds and stability to relocate to the UK
