Hales Group are happy to be working with their established client in Eye. We are looking for a Production Planner / Planning Administrator to come and assist with the process of production, scheduling and timelines to ensure the company meet their deadlines. As Production Planner, you will ensure that materials and equipment are available and ready to use for the production line.
 
Duties for a Production Planner / Planning Administrator 

To create sheet packing lists ensuring that they are in build order, to the correct weight limits, packing type and ensure all other customer requirements have been addressed.
To create sheet packing lists and issue to Packing Team Leader. Monitor progress and flag issues to the Senior Production Planner.
To route special parts in a timely manner including creating laser and punching machine programs.
To achieve a high level of stock accuracy by carrying out regular stock checks on punched and ground coat development sheets and update the Company’s ERP system as appropriate.
To close production jobs to ensure the flow of information within the Company’s ERP is optimised.
To identify and correct jobs that have booking errors and raise any ongoing issues with the Senior Production Planner.
To be involved in the purchasing of metal product including updating lead times and minimum stocks.
To create and route special parts ensuring that they are manufactured safely, efficiently and are cost effective.
To create and download cutting programs for the laser and punching machines as required.
To be fully involved with improving and updating THE Company’s ERP systems.
To assist with investigating stock discrepancies ensuring that information on the Company’s ERP system is accurate and meaningful.
To provide cover for other members of the Planning Team as required.
To carry out any other duties that may reasonably be requested giving due regard to your role. Candidate Attributes

Strong interpersonal, teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
Good administrative skills and IT proficient.
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
The ability to deliver tasks and objectives by agreed deadlines.
Proven work experience gained within an ERP driven planning role.
A good team player.
The ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
Salary negotiable depending on experience. Hours
 
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
