Finance Assistant

Location: BD1

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time

Our client, a leading legal organisation based in Bradford are seeking a talented Finance Assistant to join their team. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Team in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts and providing general financial administrative support.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
Maintaining fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Conducting overhead/variance analysis
Checking and posting bills
Producing ad-hoc reports
Assisting with month-end processing and switch over
Bank reconciliations
Posting petty cash and reconciliation
Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules
Inputting purchase ledger invoices into the system
Carrying out general administration tasks as required
Generating ad-hoc management information using excel
Maintaining confidentiality in all matters relating to Partnership finances and client accounts
Assisting with auditors' requests

Qualifications & Experience Required:

Previous experience within an accounts function is essential
Attention to detail is essential
Team-oriented with a professional approach is essential
Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential
Excellent IT skills, including intermediate level MS Excel, are essential
AAT qualified or equivalent is desired
