Salary: £46,186 (0.8FTE) or £34,639 (0.6FTE)
Location: Hybrid/Aylesford, Kent
The Education People are seeking to recruit a highly experienced professional to join our School Improvement team as a Primary Specialist Improvement Adviser. We are looking for either:
An English and Maths Adviser (0.8FTE)
An English-only Adviser (0.6FTE)
What You’ll Bring:
You will be a dynamic and self-motivated individual with extensive knowledge and understanding of teaching English, or both Maths and English, across primary schools. You will have experience in teaching and subject leadership, with a proven track record of driving school improvement in your own and other schools. You will be adept at sourcing the most reliable research on effective strategies and have experience implementing these in your own practice.
You will have the ability to engage with various audiences, including school leadership teams and teachers, providing support that leads to measurable improvement. You will enjoy working with different people and quickly establish effective working relationships. The training you deliver, both in person and remotely, will be exceptional, offering practical ways to enhance teaching or subject leadership. You might be currently working in a school, across a group of schools or and adviser already in a similar role.
What You’ll Achieve:
As a Specialist Adviser you will:
Plan and deliver high-quality training, resources, and advice to schools and clients. Lead and support professional development in English or Maths and English, ensuring consistent improvement in pupil progress across all phases
Work closely with various stakeholders, including schools, the Department for Education (DFE), and Maths/English Hubs.
Be available to work with schools across Kent and beyond
Ensure safeguarding is prioritised across all activities
Contribute to generating sales leads, and suggest innovative, research-based initiatives to improve educational outcomes
What We Require:
Qualified Teacher status
Educated to Degree level or equivalent
Proven success in working with headteachers, teachers and assistants to manage change and support school improvement
Successful teaching and subject leadership experience in English or Maths and English
Proven ability to plan and deliver high-impact training
