TeacherActive are currently recruiting for a school based in the historic town of Rochester for a MFL Teacher – French specialism. The role is to start from September 2024 on a temporary basis.

The Role: 

As a MFL teacher (French), you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate. You will play a key role in fostering a love for the French language and culture, developing students' linguistic skills, and preparing them for exams and beyond. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a range of abilities. 

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. 

Contribute to the development of the French curriculum and resources. 

Engage with extracurricular activities, such as language clubs and trips. 

Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and enriching learning environment. 

What We’re Looking For: 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in French. 

A strong academic background and a deep understanding of the French language and culture. 

Experience teaching French at Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential). 

Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students. 

A commitment to professional development and a passion for education.
