Position: Hotel and Restaurant Duty Manager
Salary: £12.00 – £13.00 p/h paid weekly + overtime
Location: Nr Twycross, Leicestershire
Hours: Full time, 40 hours p/w + overtime as needed

My client owns and manages a very successful, independent hotel and restaurant with a fantastic reputation offering high quality, freshly prepared food in a relaxed, friendly environment.

They are currently seeking an experienced Front of House Duty Manager to join their strong and united team. Reporting the General Manager, the successful candidate will be confident to lead and support the front of house team to provide relaxed yet highly professional levels of service in a busy setting.

Unusually, there will be no split shift working, so you will be able to come in and do your shift of 6 – 9 hours dependent on the day.

Your responsibilities for a duty manager near Tywcross will include:

* Key holding, opening and closing of the restaurant and hotel

* Shift leading and running a team of staff alongside fellow duty managers and senior management team

* Preparation for start of service and close down of shifts

* Rota management

* Liaising with kitchen to ensure smooth service

* Cash handling

* Weekly meeting and reporting with general manager and managing director for feedback on the weeks service

* Checking in hotel guests and ensuring the efficient welcome for their stay

Experience and skills for a duty manager near Tywcross:

* Hotel and/or restaurant management or supervisory experience

* Excellent communication skills

* Flexibility – Working different shift patterns on different days of the week including the weekends, mornings, or evenings

* Confidence with systems and taking payments

* To be able to work well under pressure and multi task in a busy environment

* Hospitality qualification is preferred but not essential

* Able to motive the team to do their best and offer exceptional service levels
