Staff 86 | The 86 Group are working with a fantastic venue close to Chester who are looking for passionate Head Chef to join their team. The team are all passionate about producing high quality fresh food for guests, and they work hard to execute this while having as much fun as possible too!

* Job Title: Head Chef

* Salary: Basic salary of around £35,000 PLUS a very generous TIPS package (usually an extra £5k+ annum).

* Location: Chester

* Working Hours: Full time hours are 48 hours per week, across 4 or 5 days. Full time or part time hours will be considered.

Overview of the role:

* Consistently producing varied / seasonal top quality fresh food for guests.

* Working on new menu ideas for events and functions working with senior management.

* Being hands on while supervising the kitchen team and always ensuring the highest of cleanliness.

* Monitoring stock and GP (gross profit).

* Being a solid and positive leader to the team – leading by example.

* Overseeing the kitchen rotas ensuring shifts are covered and the team are happy.

Required skills and experience:

* Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment and leading a team positively.

* A genuine passion for delivering high quality food using fresh and seasonal produce.

* Experience of producing new menus and the ability to look at profit margins, working towards financial targets.

* A positive and approachable leader who wants their team to do well.
