Account handler/account broker vacancy within a highly reputable Insurance Brokerage, part of one of the UK's biggest insurance groups.

This firm, based in Croydon, are recruiting for an ambitious individual with financial services and insurance experience to assist and report to senior members of the team such as account executives.

Account Handler Position Overview

Assist in achieving the team New Business Targets as per our annual budget.
Assist in achieving Retention of our annual budget.
Assist in achieving Growth of our annual budget.
Deliver a first-class service to all our customers, internal and external (including Insurers)
To provide support to commercial clients and ensure conversion of new business, service of existing accounts and retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company policies and procedures
Create a personal development plan with agreed timescales for each learning need to be completed. Demonstrate learning achievements in 121's, half yearly and annual reviews.
Completion of all allocated Aviva Development Zone Courses within the deadline dates.
You will be responsible for accurately processing the finalised new business and renewals on Acturis and the invoicing of clients, collection of money and the checking/ issue of Policy Documents.
You will be responsible for handling the smaller renewals and new business enquiries ensuring that the company's policies and procedures are adhered to, delivering a first-class service to our customers to achieve your own personal targets and contribute to the company's overall strategy.
You will support the Sales Initiatives and will explore cross sell opportunities where this is relevant to the customer and pursue all new business opportunities with hunger and desire to achieve your personal target.

Account Handler Position Requirements

Cert CII (or progress towards).
Good/Developing technical knowledge of each line of business.
Good/Developing understanding of the Insurance Market.
Understanding of compliance requirements and process and procedures.
Understanding of what is required to deliver high customer service standards.
An understanding of the Sales process.
Negotiation and influencing skills.
Attention to detail and processing of systems accurately and timely.
Ability to manage high workloads and effective prioritisation to ensure deadlines are met.
Works and copes well under pressure.
Self-motivated and effective self-management.

Account Handler Position Remuneration

Salary Depending on experience
9am-5pm office-based role, including going out and seeing clients
