Are you a Procurement Manager from a manufacturing background seeking a key role in a high-growth SME which has doubled in size in the last 18 months?

On offer is an opportunity to play a crucial role in the businesses ongoing success and growth, where they are seeking a highly motivated, skilled individual to lead the purchasing function within the Operations team.

In this role, you will play a key part in determining procurement strategy, developing robust reporting and monitoring systems and coordinating inventory levels.

The company is a leading provider of fully integrated power, monitoring, and control systems in the marine, vehicle, and off-grid markets, which combine renewable energy sources with traditional power sources, enabling reduced emissions and improved energy efficiency.

As an experienced procurement professional you will be CIPS Level 5 or above and be management a small team providing strategic planning, performance management and supplier relationships.

The role:

Managing purchasing activities, including working with suppliers, obtaining quotes, and ensuring they have good visibility on order schedules.
Placing purchase orders for materials, goods, and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost consideration.
Monitoring inventory levels and work to maintain an accurate and efficient stock of materials needed for production.
Maintaining supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance for quality and delivery timescales.
Resolving any procurement issues, such as delays or quality concerns, and working with suppliers to address them.
Leading and developing robust stock control processes
Monitoring internal and external customer order schedules and ensure the correct stock is in place to support timely order dispatch in line with customer requirements.
Collaborating with the operations and manufacturing teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and resources.The person:

CIPS level 5 or 6 qualified (comparable to a Batchelors degree) or equivalent industry experience
