SEMH Teaching Assistant

Hours: 33 hours per week (term time only)

Salary: £19,802 - £21,106 annual (ACTUAL SALARY)

Are you passionate about working with children and young people, particularly those with special educational and behavioural needs?

We are working in Partnership with a Specialist academy who are looking to recruit a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for their pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEMH, SEN/SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity to provide educational support and make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and lead lesson plans and activities as a HLTA
Assist students with alternative learning methods.
Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional help.
Collaborate with the teaching team to foster a positive learning environment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Update, maintain, and monitor pupil plans.Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people, ideally those with special educational needs (SEMH/SEN/SEND).
Ability to educate and engage students effectively.
Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.Excellent CPD
