Sellick Partnership Ltd are assisting a Local Authority with the recruitment of a Senior Building Control Surveyor to work within their Building Services and Maintenance team on a permanent basis
Daily duties of the Senior Building Control Surveyor involve:
Initiate & lead the development team approach for major projects to ensure that building control matters at the request of the building safety Regulator as part of the multi-disciplinary team on High Risk Buildings
Participate in, and where applicable lead, in corporate, partnership & stakeholder groups to achieve performance plan outcomes on time & within budget constraints
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the building regulations, structural engineering, fire engineering, or other relevant specialism
Ensure that Building Control revenues are maximised by maintaining our market share, through efficient invoicing and the determination of applications within prescribed time periods
Explore, devise & present technical justification to management team, for specific project proposalsEssential requirements of the Senior Building Control Surveyor:
Relevant degree in Building Surveying/Construction or equivalent
Registered Class 2 Building Inspector (minimum)
Previous experience working within Social Housing (Desired)Benefits of the Senior Building Control Surveyor role:
