My client are looking for an experienced Welder Inspector to join their team. My client are heavy steel manufacturer and work predominately in the Oil & Gas, Energy from Waste and Construction sector.
The ideal candidate will be able to use their own Initiative and read drawings. Experience needed in all aspects of welding inspection, Experience working with mild steel components is a must.
This role has been created due to continual growth and increase in orders and the need to expand the team to meet demands.
The successful candidate will be CSWIP 3.1 / PCN Level 2 qualified with a demonstrable background within Fabrication/ Welding of Medium/ heavy components, ideally with exposure to various industries including Nuclear, Power Generation and Defence.
*Please note: If you are not CSWIP 3.1/ PCN Level 2 qualified, you will not be considered for this role!
Package includes 25 days leave + stats + great pension contrubutions
Role Description
* Visual inspection of fabrications at various stages of completion.
* Dimensional inspections.
* Generate inspection reports.
* Identify and record non-conforming out puts and oversee resolutions as required.
* Ensure the inspection test plan is followed.
* Liaise with customer on site welding inspectors.
Qualifications/ Skills
* Ideally Time Served within a Welding / Fabrication environment
* Demonstrable experience in inspection of welded and fabricated components
* CSWIP 3.1/ PCN Level 2 Qualified
* Confident using dimensional inspection measuring equipment (Mircometers/ Verniers/ Gauges)
