About the role:
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a pivotal role in supporting young learners in their educational journey. This part-time role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering high-quality interventions and boosting student achievement. You will work closely with teachers to implement targeted support for children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working one-on-one with pupils, delivering group interventions, and assisting with classroom activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives while growing your own skills in a supportive setting.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in KS1.
• Experience with SEN pupils or delivering booster/intervention programs is highly desirable.
• A passion for education and a genuine desire to see students excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and enhanced DBS clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver tailored interventions to support children in achieving their learning goals.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with additional needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and parents.
