Technician

Location: Ely

Hours: Monday – Friday covering 35.5 hours a week

Hourly Rate / Salary: £28,500 per annum

We are looking for a detail-oriented Technician to join our team. The role involves accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data to ensure smooth operations. You will be familiar in using hand tools and have some experience in assembly and/or production. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and proficiency with data entry software are essential. Duties will include:

* To follow written and verbal work instructions accurately, with a high attention to detail and to a high standard.

* Carrying out pre-tests prior to calibration which may include building of sub-assemblies.

* Conducting electrical, pressure, leak and function testing of the instruments.

* To calibrate sensors and instruments, load and unload calibration systems.

* Using Microsoft Excel for recording data from Calibrations.

* Analysing Data from calibration readings.

* Working to tight deadlines.

* To maintain the tidiness and organisation of the laboratory through good housekeeping practice.

Key skills and attributes required:

* Strong attention to detail and organised.

* Previous experience within a calibration or instrumentation manufacturing role would be an advantage however is not essential as full training will be given.

* Experience working to set deadlines.

* Computer literate and be confident in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel.
