Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
Location: Liverpool Office

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Quantity Surveyor who can also take on Estimating duties. You will be based full-time in our Liverpool office, with occasional site visits as required. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director and working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage project values up to £3 million, ensuring accurate pricing and effective cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing and Estimating: Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
Quantity Surveying: Manage all aspects of the financial and contractual side of our projects, from initial tender to final account.
Client Interaction: Maintain and build relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Management Support: Assist in managing the financial aspects of projects, including cost control, valuation, and forecasting.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Commercial Director, ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial matters.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the construction industry. Experience in retail or commercial fit-out is preferred, but we are open to candidates from other construction backgrounds.
Skills: Strong pricing abilities are essential. Candidates with a primary background in Estimating are encouraged to apply, as the Quantity Surveying side is easier to train.
Communication: Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to pricing and financial management, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the role.
Benefits:
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 all-in DOE.
Car Allowance: Personal and Business use.
Bonus: Twice annual pro rata bonus.
Pension: Standard pension scheme.
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, office-based with occasional site visits.
