Head of Software Engineering - Remote (once per month in Sheffield) - up to £105K

Our client, a leading events and travel management platform, are seeking a talented Head of Software Engineering to grow and manage their award-winning team of Software Developers. Reporting directly to the CTO, and filling in responsibilities where needed, this role is an exciting opportunity to spearhead the growth of their team. Strong leadership, team building and management skills are required for the role. You will be up to date with the latest technology, and while not essential, a background in .NET development is a major plus. Experience in scaling a team is a must.Although you will not be coding day-to-day, you will have a close working relationship with Senior Developers and Architects. The responsibilities and requirements for the role are as follows:You Will:

Lead and manage a number of development teams, fostering a collaborative environment
Advocate Agile methodologies and strive for data-driven continuous improvement and innovation in development practices
Be a results-oriented leader with a focus on aligning development initiatives with company goals
Have experience in leading teams of at least 20 people
Demonstrable evidence of scaling a team (essential)
