To act as the face of the Council in providing an efficient, professional and client focused employment and skills service to the people of the town
• To be responsible for achieving contractual profiles of positive outcomes and other KPIs from a caseload of unemployed adults or young people who are in not in education.
• To work with internal services and partner organisations to develop and deliver a responsive employment and skills service that meets needs and funding requirements.
• To provide quality careers information, advice and guidance in various settings to inactive young people and unemployed adults to improve their personal development, help inform career choices, access suitable training and prepare for the world of work.
• To understand and help to break down the personal barriers faced by local people.
• To organise and deliver programmes of small and large group sessions to help people engage with and progress into meaningful learning and work.
• To track and monitor progress of young people who are not in education or employment.
• To build excellent working relationships with internal services, statutory organisations, training providers, partner organisations, local employers and their supply chain
