Location: Thornton Heath (CR7 8DE) – Established 5-Bed Home
Shift Pattern: Full-Time; Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

About Us
We are a well-established residential children’s home based in Thornton Heath, dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe environment for young people to thrive. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Ofsted Registered Manager to lead and oversee the management of our 5-bed home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and operational management to maintain and enhance the home’s Ofsted rating.

Ensure that the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Home Regulations 2015, and other relevant statutory requirements.

Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote the welfare and safeguarding of children.

Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, including staff supervision, training, and development.

Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, regulatory bodies, and families.

Lead and manage a team, fostering a positive and professional culture that supports the needs of both staff and children.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of the home, implementing improvements where necessary.

Ensure robust and accurate record-keeping for inspections and reviews.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications: Level 3 in Residential Childcare and Level 5 Leadership and Management.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within an Ofsted-registered children’s home.

Driving Licence: Highly favourable.

Skills and Competencies

Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Strong knowledge of current childcare legislation, safeguarding, and best practices.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently.

High level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience.
