Grounds Foreman – Static Site
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Grounds Foreman on behalf of our client, a well-established and fast-growing company in the commercial property and grounds maintenance industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and expertise in grounds maintenance to join a team working on a static site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise a team of grounds maintenance workers, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
* Manage the scheduling and execution of grounds maintenance, adhering to contract specifications.
* Carry out a range of horticultural duties, including pruning, seasonal bedding, grass cutting, watering, hedge trimming, and weed management.
* Ensure all equipment is used properly and maintained regularly, reporting any issues to the line manager.
* Submit daily reports, such as timesheets, site conditions, and vehicle checks.
* Communicate professionally with clients, addressing requests and concerns in line with company policies.
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any hazards or issues.
* Promote a positive team environment, encouraging safety, teamwork, and productivity.
* Provide training to new employees on landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
* Ensure compliance with COSHH and Risk Assessment procedures.
Role Requirements:
* Proven experience in commercial grounds maintenance.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Full clean driving license (essential).
* PA1/6 spray license (desirable).
