Prime Appointments are currently working with a leading manufacturer, based on the outskirts of Colchester, who are currently looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their talented team of engineers!

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a team of engineers focused on developing high-quality mechanical components.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be required to:

Utilize 3D CAD software to produce precise, detailed design drawings
Develop and refine mechanical systems according to specific project needs
Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve design-related challenges
Create schematics and system layouts for mechanical components
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs align with project specifications
Apply SolidWorks and other CAD tools for 3D modeling and simulationQualifications Required

Skilled in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with a solid grounding in core mechanical design principles
Highly experienced in using CAD software, with particular expertise in SolidWorks
Experience with SolidWorks Electrical would be beneficial
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and component operationsBenefits:
