My client in the Hindley Green area of Wigan are looking for an experienced Mechanical / Electrical Fitter.

The ideal candidate will come from an Assembly and Production, will be highly proficient with Hand and Power Tools and will have experience of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.

Mechanical Fitter Job Overview

Completing Engineering duties for sub-assembly production, fitting and final assembly
Assembling Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Electronic components
Assisting with the build of fabricated assemblies
Using a variety of hand and power tools in assembly and quality assurance
Marking out, cutting, folding, pipe bending and weld joint preparation as well as completing Hydraulic and Pneumatic runs.

Mechanical Fitter Job Requirements

Previous experience in a Fitting / Assembly position
Able to work from Engineering drawings / schematics
Circuitry knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrics
Defence or Aviation background would be beneficial
Knowledge of basic electrical assembly and the ability to read circuit drawings would be advantageous
Based within a commutable distance of Stroud
