Ideally you will have experience of setting and operating a twin pallet horizontal machining centre. You will also have the following skills and experience…

·       Ideally you will have experience with Fanuc controls

·       Experience of modifying programmes will be beneficial

·       You will be a time served engineer

·       Experience of working on DVF machines would be beneficial but is not essential

·       Experience of working on bespoke small batch / one offs

·       Experience of working with exotics

·       Slinging and lifting experience would be beneficial

The Role

The main purpose of the role is to produce a component to a given engineering drawing. You will also be responsible for the following…

Check the material issued against the production order matches the production order requirements

Set all required jaws and tooling on CNC to produce that component

Check for existing program or modify program

Turn, drill or mill the component

Self inspect the component on completion

To be flexible to move onto alternate machines when required

To assist on the inspection bench when busy

Stamp and debur components

Update boards when moving material onto the next operation machine

Involvement in events/training
