The vacancy

DN College Group are seeking a dedicated Maths Lecturer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of further education courses, developing specific subject areas, and leading programmes of study. This role involves classroom management, lesson preparation, and marking, ensuring that all learners achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Curriculum Development: Prepare learning materials, mark assignments, and ensure learning goals are met.

* Programme Management: Contribute to course verification, leadership, and significant research or consultancy activities.

* Student Support: Manage the classroom environment, teach various courses, and assess students to meet their individual learning needs.

* Recruitment: Select and enrol full-time and part-time students, meeting enrolment targets.

* Professional Development: Participate in staff development activities and update skills as required.

Criteria:

* Qualifications: Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification at level 3, and appropriate teaching qualification (or willing to work towards one).

* Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years in a lecturing or training role within the Further and Higher Education sector is desirable.

* Skills: Knowledge of innovative teaching techniques, internal quality processes, and curriculum development, including the use of ICT.

* Personal Qualities: Customer-centred approach, attention to detail, and professional appearance.

The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal
