HSE Controller

Sunderland

£40,000 to £45,000 per annum

An international manufacturing business are looking for an enthusiastic HSE Controller to join their site at Sunderland on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the HR Team and promote a good attitude towards health and safety across the company.

Role & Responsibilities

* Supporting in the third party, and Client group site audits and inspections.

* Conducting internal audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and business departments and resolution tracking.

* Leading continual improvement initiatives on manufacturing and business processes, in HSE management with the ultimate aim of improved HSE performance.

* Carrying out and submit all weekly, monthly, bi-annual and annual ISO 14001 reports and paperwork in accordance to group standard.

* Liaising with relevant bodies such as EA, local authorities and public bodies.

* Coordinating all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental Health, conservation, and renewable energy.

Knowledge & Experience

* NEBOSH or equivalent would be highly desirable for this role.

* Proven experience in a similar role within manufacturing – ideally automotive

* Formal auditor training ISO 9001 /14001/18001 trained (Desirable).

* Knowledge & experience of Environmental management requirements.

* Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques.
