About the Role
As the SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school’s provision for students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and managing the SEN department, ensuring all students receive tailored support.
• Developing and implementing effective SEN strategies across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Collaborating closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to create inclusive learning environments.
• Monitoring and evaluating the progress of SEN students and adapting support plans accordingly.
• Providing training and guidance to staff on best practices for supporting students with additional needs.

What We’re Looking For
• Qualifications: QTS or equivalent, SENCO qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in Key Stage 1 or 2 within the UK.
• Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year.
• Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to apply for one).
