About the Role:

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and ensuring the smooth execution of their financial strategies. You will be at the heart of their financial planning, helping to shape and guide our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping by creating purchase orders, paying invoices promptly, reconciling bills in our accounting software, managing the chart of accounts, and inputting supplier contact details. In purchasing management, you will oversee procurement processes, including POs, bank card and debit payments, and multi-currency transactions, implement sign-off processes, and manage employee expenses. For account reporting, you will prepare management and budget accounts, provide weekly and monthly financial reports, and monitor cash flow and forecast spending. Additionally, you will collaborate with accountants to oversee payroll and pensions, manage end-of-year activities, and handle R&D tax relief.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience with Xero accounting software is highly desirable.
• A proactive self-starter who can define and manage necessary tasks independently.
• Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of a rapidly growing company.
• Expertise in process development, management, and implementation.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Salary and Benefits:

• £50k pro-rata salary
• 22.5 hours per week with flexibility to work hours as required
• Chippenham office with 2 days per week in the office
