We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Engineer - Industrial Pumps / Technical Sales Engineer based in Bedford to join one of clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a global engineering company who have seen continuous growth for several decades.

Responsibilities of the Application Engineer

Selection, preparation and delivery of pumping equipment estimates and quotations.
Calculate pipe friction losses and produce system curves using in-house tools.
Prepare estimates and quotations.
Ensure all data recording systems and costings are up to date and current.
Involved with bespoke projects.
Provide technical support
Requirements for a successful Application Engineer

HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, applications, performance curves, system curves etc.
Experience in the wastewater industry and frameworks.
Excellent working knowledge of ISO quality systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings, specifications and schematics.

Summary of the Application Engineer role 

Salary: £38,000 - £46,000 per annum
Location:  Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:15am - 4:45pm, Fridays 8:15am - 1:45pm
